Death of the very potent CDMA2000 and EVDO technology - who can we blame?
Back in 2005 Bangkok Post wrote that the CDMA network might be shut down within a couple of years.
Now we write 2008, and it is still on, though i have heard some recent murmurings about it being shut down within the next 2 years.
What will then happen next?
Wimax is coming soon they say, at least to Phuket.
Will there be a replacement for the CDMA2000 technology though?
W-CDMA and CDMA2000 converged into CDMA2000 rev 3.
But it seemed to fall through for some reason, and we will now see a world delivered through the eyes of the W-CDMA for our mobile 3G->4G networks.
