picturefromphone-246.jpgMy good friend “Nart” from www.thailandcdma.com informs me that roaming for the end-user is now possible.

It is not truly roaming though, because you will need to have different dialup profiles for each service.

And you will need to pay both providers for subscription.

The numbers for an aircard is:

CAT 750 baht, Hutch 990 bath.

So basically you will need to pay a double subscription fee.

If you are a CAT telecom user with either an Aircard 580 from Sierra Wireless or a CCU-650 from C-Motech i suggest that you contact CAT telecom to inquire about roaming.

If they can not answer your question you might want to contact Hutch directly.

I have not tested this myself yet, i might do it later though, and then i will update with the relevant information.

With this roaming in place it means that if you are a CAT telecom customer you can now also use your EVDO connection in Bangkok and central Thailand, this is an area where Hutch has developed and deployed their network, and has not yet been covered if you are a CAT telecom customer.

I do not know yet if you can roam from Hutch to CAT telecom network though.
