On a hot summernight i was walking the streets of Oslo, during my walk there a group of women passed me by.
They were chitchattering about various things i guess, but one thing which was said caught my attention.
One of the women in the group critized what was obviously a common male friend of theirs, the critique was about his lack of variety in sweaters, apparently she had noticed the fact that he only wore about 2 or 3 different ones.
This made me think about the cultural impact in our society of gossiping people, how human beings as different groups within our society tell eachother what is accepted behaviour within different groups and in society by gossiping others.
How people might even use gossip as a way of probing the groups acceptance of their ideas.
And the effect agreeing as a group has on defining the brainwaves which creates good feelings for any group and as an indivudual within the group.
For any human being it is easier to fall into specific patterns which are already present in their brain, and any instance where they are in a group, and then the group agrees on something, this will create new brainpatterns, and these patterns will be strengthened by the good feelings accompanied with the fact that they felt safe within a group which agreed on this.
Now back to my example, it is indeed a sad reflection on Norwegian and perhaps human society if the above example of social interaction describes the height of our social development and accomplishments
